The purpose of this paper is to clarify the method of applying strategic workforce planning and to identify the main steps followed, by taking the Algerian Electricity Transmission Network Management Company (ACMETN) as a case study. Using the interview and company documents as tools for data collection and analysis, the research shows that the company uses strategic workforce planning in a correct manner that is aligned with its strategic directions. However, it has some shortcomings, especially not taking in consideration the future jobs predictions, which may lead to strategic imbalances such as the inability to accurately define strategic positions.
