Project Approach As A Generator Of Sensemaking

This study aims to explore the latent potential of the project as both a philosophical and operational lever for a re-foundation of sensemaking within organizations, while analyzing how the project-based approach contributes to reconfiguring organizational action around more dynamic, open, and participatory frameworks in the process of sensemaking. The study adopts a pragmatic logic that transcends the strictly technical conception of the project, framing it instead as an ontological space permeated by epistemological tensions between objectivity and subjectivity, monism and pluralism. It highlights the existence of a dynamic inherent to the project context, characterized by the continuous shifting of organizational normativity towards a process of evolving co-construction of sense. The project is thus conceived as a hosting structure for sensemaking, capable of integrating contradictions and regulating the balance between empirical positivism and constructivist–hermeneutic relativism.
