Scientific research is undergoing structural transformations due to the advancement of artificial intelligence (AI), which affects research methodologies and output quality. This study aims to analyze AI's impact on scientific research through a critical comparative analysis of the Chinese and American models. It adopts a comparative analytical methodology based on literature review, policy analysis, and university case studies. The findings indicate that AI is reshaping all stages of research, highlighting key similarities and differences between the two models. The study also addresses shared ethical and methodological challenges, such as transparency and algorithmic bias. It concludes with practical recommendations to support the responsible and effective adoption of AI in the Algerian academic context.
